Festival Fuse #7 opening night
The day has finally arrived for the opening of Your Adelaide Bank Festival of Arts 2006.
It's been such an exciting week for the dedicated Festival team. We have been bumping in sets all over Adelaide, getting ready for tonight's official opening.
Elder Park is where the main action is with Studio Festi gearing up for their FREE performance of Il Cielo che Danza (The Dancing Sky) at 9pm.
This team of performers are fresh from their stunning opening ceremony performance at the Torino Winter Olympics in Italy - this is an event not to be missed!!
Listen for the Bells
At 8.25pm tonight the bells from the three main bell towers in Adelaide - the Adelaide Town Hall, St Francis Xavier Cathedral and St Peters' Cathedral - will ring out as a calling to the people of Adelaide to make their way down to Elder Park for the evening's festivities, which start at 9pm. Everyone is encouraged to bring, and ring their own bells to join us in welcoming the Festival.
The Plan for Il Cielo che Danza (The Dancing Sky) in Elder Park
There are several road closures in effect from 6pm tonight (March 3) and from 3pm on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 March. Please refer to the below map, to enable you to plan your night appropriately.
