Nontzeflash Animated Film competition
1. Nontzeberri.com cultural web site promotes 3rd edition of Nontzeflash Animated Film competition with the collaboration of Bilbao's Fantastic Film Festival (FANT)
2. It is open to everybody who wants to take part, no matter where they are from and with no limited number of animated films. Registering is free.
3. The animated films will be produced in SWF and the file should be no bigger than 2,5 Mb. Each film should be submitted in a single file, and if it includes some music it should also be included in the same file. On the other hand, it should be taken into account that the film will be shown on a 700 x 525 pixels screen (it may happen that the film will need a mask layer). It should also be sent an image that represents the film in a 80 x 60 pixels (length x heigth) jpg. file 4. There is no specific topic for the films but they all must be original and produced after 1st January 2005.
5. If there are any dialogues in a language different from Basque or Spanish the films will need subtitles in English, Basque or Spanish.
6. The deadline to submit for the competition will be 8th March 2006 (13.00 p.m.). Nevertheless, the organisation would appreciate that the films are submitted beforehand to be shown on nontzeflash.com for the entertainment of the Internet users.
7. The best animated films will be awarded by judges and they will be shown on Bilbao's Fantastic Film Festival FANT 2006.
8. The competition offers the following awards:
-Nontzeflash Award to The Best Animated film 2000 euros-Second Award 1500 euros-Third Award. 900 euros-The Best animated film from the Basque Country. 900 euros
9. Any prize can be declared void, if the judges consider the quality of the animated films is not good enough.
10. All attendees who register for the competition accept to be the owner of licence, copyrights and rights for the image, sound, type graphs and any tools they may use. Registering for the competition means that the author declares to be responsible for the work submitted and its content. Nontzeberri.com and FANT decline any legal responsibility whatsoever over the content of the films.
11. The author of the film is the exclusive owner of the films submitted. Nevertheless, all attendees who register for the festival give the rights of public distribution and reproduction to Nontzeberri.com and FANT Festival until the next edition of the competition takes place. These rights will be extended until the author makes a formal request to the Festival asking to interrupt the right. Meanwhile all attendees give the rights of their film to Nontzeberri.com and FANT Festival to show it on-line and off-line. And last but not least, the winners and the authors of the films selected by FANT give the rights of the films for an unlimited period of time.
12. To submit the competition all attendees will fill in an online form. They will include their name and surname, place of origin, e-mail address, website, telephone number, the title of the animated film, length, an image that represents the film in a 80 x 60 pixels jpg. file and a brief summary of it (no longer than 50 words, in Basque, Spanish or English). 13. A commission will check the films submitted and will have the admission right.
14. The judges will be three well-known people in the animated film area. They will choose the best works according to quality and originality of the films submitted and will give the awards accordingly.
15. The awards will be announced on a live awards ceremony at the FANT 2006. The names of the winners will be shown on the website once FANT festival is over.
16. The decisions made by the judges are final.
17. Nontzeberri.com and FANT have no legal responsibility whatsoever for the further use of the films submitted. Nevertheless, the organisation will try to protect the films the best they can.
18. Submitting for the competition means accepting the above mentioned guidelines.
