DNA 11

DNA11 creates unique DNA portraits through an extraordinary combination of science and art. The process begins with the DNA being collected using a patented, non-invasive technique: depositing your saliva into a tube. This sample is then sent to our highly secure, certified laboratory, where the DNA is extracted to create a unique genetic fingerprint, using a technique that takes advantage of the variation that occurs among the DNA sequence of every individual.

DNA 11 was founded by Adrian Salamunovic and Nazim Ahmed, who share not only a deep appreciation for the arts, but also the vision and determination to capture the beauty of DNA and transform it into a unique piece of art. Together, Adrian and Nazim combine business acumen, scientific knowledge, and art appreciation with a deeply-rooted belief in the importance of philanthropic giving, making DNA 11 as unique as its artwork.

The Name
Why DNA 11 and not 10 or 2 or 7?
Two reasons:
The number 11 represents the spiraling twin strands of human DNA.
The number 11 visually represents balance and simplicity.

ART TECH MEDIA 06

Calling on all artists of the world to participate in ART TECH MEDIA 06 and exhibit their works in a variety of Spanish Museums.
Artworks will be accepted from the following categories:

- Video art
- Net-art
- Computer Animation

GENERAL REGULATIONS- Works must have been produced after January 1st, 2005.- The number of works is not limited.- Works may be presented in any language. The transcript of dialogues must be included in Spanish or English, in case of being selected.- The organization may use parts of the works for media broadcasting, within the promotional framework of ART TECH MEDIA 06.-
Following the process of selection, all participants will be notified in writing of the result, and the required presentation formats of their work, preferably on DVD.- Authors will be responsible for copyright of their works.-
Works selected will be exhibited in all the Museums taking part in ART TECH MEDIA 06.-
A catalogue will be produced in Spanish and English, including all the works.- Artists with works selected shall agree to assign a copy to ART TECH MEDIA 06, which may be used in the subsequent exhibitions.
- Submission of a work implies the acceptance of these regulations.
ENTRY All submissions must be received by February 15th, 2006.
