ArtisanCam features one artist per term and is aimed primarily at Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils and their teachers. You can watch artists live from their studios or working on location as they go about their business. Once live watching is finished, their work is captured in a timelapse video which summarises their activities.
Visionary art . . . outsider art . . . self-taught art . . . is work made by people who didn’t necessarily go to school to be artists. They usually don’t even think that what they’re doing is making art—they may simply think they’re decorating their houses or yards or painting signs.
Visionary artists make art because they feel like they have to make it —it comes from a strong inner belief, or “vision.”

Welcome to SwarmSketch: Collective sketching of the collective consciousness.
SwarmSketch is an ongoing online canvas that explores the possibilities of distributed design by the masses. Each week it randomly chooses a popular search term which becomes the sketch subject for the week. In this way, the collective is sketching what the collective thought was important each week. (Due to increased traffic sketches are currently being updated after about 1000 lines)

Bisognerebbe solo imparare a rispettare le opinioni altrui e, soprattutto, controbatterle con altre opinioni. E non con minacce."

Marc Garrett about the article "WIPO carves up the Internet (and the broadcast spectrum)"
By James Love. ( http://www.metamute.org/en/node/7699 )
..... WIPO is debating whether or not to create a new intellectual property right ..........
The new right is not a "copyright," but a "broadcaster" or "webcaster" right.
It is a bad idea when applied to television or radio, but a disaster if applied to the Internet.
Since 1945, the world’s metropolises have undergone both growth and decline. These developments have brought not only economic and social change, but also cultural transformations that have found their reflection in all artistic media. The physical and mental city has proven a fertile breeding ground for the visual arts, film, graphic design, and the written word. Furthermore, while cities continue to generate and project a unique identity, they have also become globalized commodities in themselves. The products of these interactions and their precise mechanisms are the subjects of this conference. How have artists, filmmakers, designers and writers dealt with the singularity, complexity and diversity of their surroundings?
In what ways does the metropolis contribute to their work? How have they absorbed and transformed their various environments? And how do these works alter the city and our perception of it? What role does contemporary “city branding” play and how does a city “remember”?
Art and the City: A Conference on Postwar Interactions with the Urban Realm will bring together around 40 international scholars for a two-day symposium on this important topic, among them Malcom Miles(UK), M. Christine Boyer (US), and Thomas A.P. van Leeuwen (NL).

After the Geert Lovink's meeting at Mediateca in March I had a question in my head-
- Why he read the extract from his book "Internet non e' il paradiso" in Italian (putting wrong accent on a lot of words) and maybe not Bifo that is italian.
So I decided to ask directly Geert Lovink ......
Why YOU read Your book extract in Italian ?Well... the time I spend on reading the fragment from Internet non e il paradiso was short, maybe 15 minutes. The rest I spoke in English.
maybe to put the accent on the only real limit of the internet community right now ... the incomprensivity of the language?Sure.
To question the presumed dominance of English as a global communication tool? Because I love your language? Because language is politics? Because we're in continental Europe? Because language on the Internet is more and more becoming a cultural battleground? You guess.
All the best,
