Mentre a Venezia vengono assegnati i premi della Biennale architettura, in questi giorni a Gattamelata la Fiera di Milano ha raccolto migliaia di visitatori internetnauti per il forum IAB FORUM 06 e in apertura alla lunga serie di workshop sponsorizzati dalle maggiori aziende italiane ha parlato Derrick De Kerchove.( intervistato da Lele Dainesi nel suo podcast blog.)
E proprio quando si aprivano i lavori alla Fiera di Milano, in via Meravigli alle ore 10 veniva aggiudicato un silenzioso premio artegiovane2006 a Ettore Favini e Massimo Grimaldi rispettivamente per i progetti presentati per Torino - area Falchera - e Milano - Palazzo Affari…(via articoweb.it) .
Per chi non e' ancora a Torino per Artissima , Milano ha proposto alcuni appuntamenti interessanti; mentre Massimiliano Gioni teneva un'incontro sulla "installazione" allo spazio Oberdan; 47 imprese milanesi vincevano il bando di impresecreative;
mentre Bros inaugurava a Le biciclette ; una performance di lovett/codogne (e book Signing) veniva presentata nella nuovissima galleria illy allo spazio Moroso e inoltre al circolo magnolia un anonimo concerto dei whit love .

Von virtuellen Alpenpanoramen und künstlichen Bergen

Das Hotel Vue des Alpes ist virtuell und existiert nur im Internet. Dennoch ist es bis zum April 2008 restlos ausgebucht. Im Jahr 2000 öffnete, das vom Basler Künstlerpaar Monica Studer und Christoph van den Berg erbaute Hotel mit seinem ebenso virtuellen Panorama seine Pforten. Die Künstler sind mit diesem Internet-Projekt international bekannt und zu modernen Nachfahren der Landschaftsmaler geworden.
Dass die Bilder von Wiesen, Wäldern, Nebel und Alpenpanoramen in Basel und London entstanden sind, unterstreicht die Distanz, mit der sie sich der Natur nähern. Studer und van den Berg konstruieren ihre Werke aus der Erinnerung und schaffen somit Werke zwischen veritabler Künstlichkeit und ersehnter Natürlichkeit. Für die Weltausstellung in Aichi vom letzen Jahr schufen sie sogar einen ganzen künstlichen Berg, der das sehr erfolgreiche Wahrzeichen des Schweizer Pavillons war. Diesen Frühling wurden Studer van den Berg vom Kunstmuseum Solothurn mit einer Einzelausstellung geehrt. Ein Grund mehr, einen Blick hinter die Kulissen dieses erfolgreichen Paares zu schauen: Monica Studer und Christoph van den Berg stellen bei :digital brainstorming sich selbst und ihre Projekte vor. Auch werden sie uns einen Einblick in ihre Arbeitsweise verschaffen.

Presentations by Nir Nadler and Chris O'Shea, and the results of the Machinima Contest 2006.Chris O'Shea (London) constructs models of interaction that borrow from TOY design and video GAMES, to create play situations within virtual environments and in tangible devices. He will present a series of projects that begin to explore synaesthesia, the fusion of sound and visuals, through gaming devices, open source processes and interactive soundscapes. http://www.chrisoshea.org/
Klaas Kuitenbrouwer shows the QUIRKIEST results of the Machinima Competition that mediamatic organised with VIRMA and the Holland Animation Film Festival.
Contestants had to make a machinima about a recent news event in one week only.
In his presentation Klaas explores what it is that makes machinima interesting.
Nir Nadler and Chaja Hertog portray prototypes of cultural identities and ICONIC figures through variable mediums. Some of these identities are applied onto a self-published newspaper: The Monograph, where the personality Norbert Nadler plays a central role. It is a man without character that uses all means to approach everyone.
