ZERMATT, Svizzera -- Una piramide in vetro e acciaio alta 117 metri, costruita in cima al Piccolo Cervino. Da cui si potrà godere, attraverso una piattaforma panoramica, lo scenario mozzafiato delle Alpi. Facendo magari shopping nel centro commerciale annesso. E' lo straordinario progetto che le autorità svizzere cominceranno a realizzare, dai prossimi giorni, sopra Zermatt
Il 26 novembre l’Apollo SpazioCinema di Milano ospita, fuori programma, “Videos under siege” - una selezione di cortometraggi girati da filmaker libanesi nel luglio 2006, durante l’assedio di Beirut - mentre il 28 novembre, l’mk2 Bibliothèque di Parigi, insieme alla rivista francese “Bref”, chiude la manifestazione con una serata dedicata al video e al cinema corto e sperimentale.
“Invideo” è un luogo di osservazione attento e privilegiato sul mondo delle immagini e sulle immagini del mondo, nel crocevia fra le tecniche e le arti. Da una parte realtà che non si configurano come oggetti di rappresentazione documentaria classica, ma ‘sospese’ in una sorta di fluttuazione sopra e oltre il genere del reportage e dell’inchiesta: immagini che hanno i piedi per terra e la testa fra le nuvole. Dall’altra realtà in cui l’attenzione per il mondo in cui viviamo si incontra e si rafforza nel contatto con le articolazioni creative del linguaggio video.

ArtBots is an international art exhibition for robotic art and art-making robots. For each show, we publish an open call for submissions, inviting artists from around the world to send us information about their work. We have no fixed definition of what qualifies for the show; if you think it's a robot and you think it's art, we encourage you to submit. The final list of participants is a mix of works selected from the open call submissions and additional artists invited by the ArtBots curators.
Every year the show is a bit different; the location changes and ArtBots director Douglas Repetto invites a new set of humans to co-curate the show with him. We hope that by changing the specifics of the show each year we can keep it accessible to a diverse range of people, works, and ideas.
There will be a regional ArtBots show in New York City on November 9-12, 2006.
