Matt Locke mostra come la BBC stia tentando, in via sperimentale, di estendere la sua rete televisiva anche sul web, proponendo canali alternativi come backstage.bbc.com o altri canali anche esterni al mondo tv che si basano sul principio del user generated content, coinvolgendo gli utenti a inviare i progetti video ma anche di ristrutturazione del sito.

Kevin Warwick e' considerato uno dei maggiori studiosi di cibernetica e di intelligenza artificiale, e nel 1998 mise nel suo braccio un trapianto piccolo come una moneta di due penny, che permise al suo sistema nervoso di essere connesso alla rete.
Durante l'incontro dell' European Futurist Conference Lucerne, Kevin Warwick ha affermato che nel futuro non avremo piu' passaporto o le chiavi della macchina, ogni persona avra' un trapianto simile al suo che collegato col sistema nervoso potra' sostituire numerose attivita' dell'uomo, oltre a poter essere sempre identificato.
Ad esempio Kevin Warwick vive in un ambiente adatto al suo meccanismo e quindi le porte si apriranno al solo suo pensiero e cosi' altre funzioni e ogni volta che entrera' in casa sara' accolto da un saluto personalizzato :”Good morning, Mr Warwick”.
Kevin Warwich porta alcuni esempi di esperimenti in cui viene mostrato che attraverso un impulso nervoso e' possibile decidere la direzione di marcia di un topo e come la ricerca scientifica sia sempre piu' interessata alle relazioni uomo-macchina. O ancora esempi come i trapianti per il controllo del morbo di Parkinson o delle gambe lese.
Dopo anni di ricerca su se' stesso, in questo momento Warwick vuole allargare la sua ricerca , sperimentando lo scambio, il networking, la comunicazione attraverso impianti collegati al cervello.
Alla moglie ad esempio aveva anche regalato una collana che cambia colore e intensita' a seconda del suo umore.
Kevin Warwick e' la dimostrazione vivente di come i trapianti di microchip non siano piu' solo una caratteristica del genere fantascientifico ma ormai parte della realta'.

On wednesday the 29th of November KillerTV features various small scale video projects from all over the world. Video can be an instrument for awareness and empowerment. But there are also exchange projects: the mixing of video from different parts of the world.
The evening is hosted by Alexander Nikolic, an artist working in Serbia and Vienna. He is currently involved in the Camp-project, that focuses on the subject of camps; what do camps mean –extremely: a collection of data- for the European culture and soul?
Part of Camp is Nikolic’ SlumTV, a media project in the centre of Belgrado where thousands of people built an independant community under a bridge. They form a shadow economy, with
their own shops, bars and other businesses.
Nikolic will talk with Lucrezia Cippitelli, who, next to her theoretical work, is also a media-artist.
She shows material from a project in Havana where people wrote the scripts for their own video productions.

Nikolic ends with a Park4DTV, a Dutch project from the nineties that started on the Amsterdam cable but expanded to a large network of videoartists all over the world. One of the founders,
Peter Mertens, shows material and explains the history of Park.
