VIVA LA CREATION
Everyone can take part in the project by uploading audio and video files and remixing them. Jeroen Hofs - the well known video-sampler Eboman - will also be making remixes and giving a hand to participants.
On 27 September, the best creation will be awarded a prize during PICNIC'07.
Also,on october 8, 2007, Eboman will start on the publication, via the Eboman website, of all the audiovisual compositions he has produced since 1985.

Hans Limbus Tjöneryd
The city of Rome plays an important role in Hans Limbus Tjöneryd’s artistic universe and it was there that Operation Lifeboat/Scialuppa di Salvataggio was started on 17 February 2000.
The project, which will end on 17 February 2034, after lasting for exactly 34 years, is coupled to events in Avan in various ways. But the geographical links that have been established with various places on earth – from the Mount of the Virgin in Sweden to Brazil – in point of fact stretch even further away.
In order to facilitate contacts with the unknown, there is an approach beacon for UFAOs (Unidentified Flying Art Objects) at Avan. When the landing beacon was inaugurated in 2002, sky sculptures were drawn in the airspace above the tip; this time with material from the Limbusation Expedition which had been burnt to ashes. The actual reuse of matter – and, in a wider sense, the cyclical processes that especially pervade nature – are a fundamental component of the Limbus activities.

Ramasco è caratterizzata da un costante mutamento di registri e linguaggi che si accompagna a un’unità di fondo altrettanto costantemente percepibile. Pochi artisti contemporanei sfidano in maniera così costante l’osservatore, instaurando un costante rapporto dialettico tra la riconoscibilità e l’inafferrabilità del proprio lavoro. Questa capacità di muoversi non ha nulla a che vedere con un intento provocatorio e neppure con uno sperimentalismo (parole che si possono considerare estranee all’universo mentale di Anna Ramasco). Si tratta piuttosto di una capacità di trovare di volta in volta strumenti adeguati per portare in primo piano una serie di sfumature. La parola ‘sfumatura’ è, senza dubbio, una parola chiave. Occorre abitare a lungo il lavoro di Anna Ramasco per poterne coglierne il movimento, le increspature, i sussulti, come se l’artista rifiutasse di continuo di fornire allo spettatore punti di osservazione troppo semplici, o come se la sua osservazione portasse a concludere che sono le pieghe più piccole quelle che meritano davvero di essere esplorate. Anna Ramasco ha il dono di una straordinaria leggerezza, poco imparentata con il minimalismo e ancor meno con forme banali di eleganza (la sua leggerezza è anzi spesso ‘sporca’). La leggerezza può riguardare i mezzi utilizzati (la calligrafia, il disegno, il suono, un peculiare approccio alla scultura) oppure il modo di porsi di fronte ai propri soggetti. È, come nelle Lezioni americane di Calvino (riferimento abusato, ma che appare in questo caso particolarmente pertinente), un modo di togliere pesantezza al mondo. Perché i lavori di Anna Ramasco non toccano questioni di poco peso. Si possono intravedere dietro ogni spiraglio del suo operare traumi violenti, conflitti che vengono osservati con sgomento, profondità che appaiono quasi sempre inaccessibili. Gli strumenti dell’arte vengono messi alla prova in una lotta che permette di portare ad affiorare un dolore. L’arte non è un’attività pacifica. Il fondo di dolore cui Anna Ramasco vuole avvicinarsi non appare accessibile all`espressione verbale. L’impossibilità di dire questo dolore, di comunicarlo, rasppresenta anzi una delle tonalità di fondo del suo procedere. I suoi lavori sono percorsi da un sospetto, una diffidenza nei confronti della parola (è sintomatica una certa sua riluttanza a trovare titoli per le proprie opere) e da una riflessione continua intorno a questa assenza, questa mancanza fondamentale. Vi è, nell’opera di Anna Ramasco, una continua tensione che si stabilisce tra la dimensione tragica che ne costituisce lo sfondo e la dimensione ironica, giocosa che ne rappresenta il tratto più immediato. Il tragico riguarda le condizioni dell’essere-nel-mondo, non certo il linguaggio di un arte che appare tanto più vicina al fondo della propria ricerca quanto più sta in superficie, e che anzi fa proprio del contrasto tra superficie e profondità, spensieratezza e disperazione uno dei propri modi di operare. Questo contrasto sembra voler evocare (superficialmente) l’universo concettuale della psicoanalisi, e può dare allo spettatore l’impressione di trovarsi di fronte a una sorta di continua riflessione su di sé e sulle proprie paure. Si tratta invece di un mondo più complesso e non privo di pericoli, dove i traumi vengono inventati, invocati, sofferti, un caleidoscopio di dinamiche relazionali il cui valore performativo non è stato ancora sufficientemente osservato e da cui difficilmente lo spettatore (sempre che se ne accorga in tempo) potrà chiamarsi fuori.
