SPACE FOR YOUR FUTURE brings together a group of thirty-four Japanese and international contemporary artists, architects and designers in an exhibition which asks them to respond to the current and future conditions of creative production in the 21st Century; a moment in which shared visions of the future are no longer possible while the eclecticism and quotations of the postmodern world are fading into the past. A participatory exhibition that visitors can experience through physical involvement, SPACE FOR YOUR FUTURE occupies the 4,300m square of floor space in MOT's temporary exhibitions galleries while also offering displays in public spaces and in a library.
The exhibition is curated by Yuko Hasegawa, Chief Curator, MOT and Akio Seki, Curator, MOT, with the assistance of Chiara Bertola as curatorial advisor.

In occasione dell’Anno Internazionale del Pianeta Terra, indetto dall’Organizzazione delle Nazioni Unite, la Galleria Nina Lumer inaugura il 24 gennaio 2008 la mostra personale dell’artista russo Alexander Ponomarev, Punto di vista.
In mostra alla Galleria Nina Lumer un bosco di alberi-periscopi, dalle radici immense, che sembrano crescere oltre il soffitto della galleria.
Come il capitano di un sottomarino osserva l’orizzonte dal fondo del mare e scopre l’ignoto, così Ponomarev conquista un territorio immaginario che, attraverso questa installazione, condivide con gli osservatori.

-Ogni generazione s'immagina d'essere nel pieno di un'epoca d'oro, come se l'impossibilità di sentirsi al centro dell'universo in termini di spazio potesse essere compensata dal sentimento di esserlo in termini temporali.-

In occasione della sua prima personale presso la galleria Pianissimo Tobias Collier presenta -IN SIDEREAL-, un inedito progetto installativo che coinvolge tutto l'ambiente. L'aggettivo -siderale- e' comunemente usato in astronomia per indicare cio' che e' situato oltre il sistema solare, dove regnano le stelle-e tutto il resto!
Lo spazio siderale puo' anche essere inteso come cio' che si pone oltre la linea di confine di quello che già l'ingegnere e architetto Buckminster Fuller identificava, con gusto delle proporzioni, come -universo- (nel senso di -conosciuto-), differenziandolo in questo modo da -L'UNIVERSO- (nel senso della sua interezza, e che risulta essere, viceversa, sostanzialmente ignoto).
In questo progetto, Collier esplora proprio il concetto di confine estremo oltre il quale il Cosmo diviene improvvisamente s-conosciuto, sondando con gli strumenti dell'Arte le sfumature -umanistiche- che gravitano attorno a quel limite, inteso come iato, cesura esistente tra il dato materiale e l'idea che lo afferra, tra l'immaginazione interiore e l'universo esteriore, tra la chiara luce di cio' che e' certo e l'oscura coltre del dubbio, tra la conoscenza e l'ignoranza.
