"Controlled Accidents tries to explore new investigation and creation fields related to the body and their decodings in the contemporary society, from premises of how to rethink the body in an epoch in which the techno-scientific advances and the social theories and postmodern communications have generated discourses and conceptualizations of corporal issue, which although they denote it as something material are more interested in its dematerialisation, however the body as nearby element and potentializer of our realities continues being the most important device of our experience."

PLATFORMA VIDEO8 International Film Festival will take place on 7-10 November 2008 at Athens Technopolis and will host two competition sections (Selection Platforma and Audience Prize Competition), a series of film tributes (Festivals Tribute, Nuclei, Eye on Israel, ANTHROPOS), media literacy initiatives (PLATFORMA in motion, seminars), open discussions on audiovisual culture and numerous parallel events.

"Convegno di presentazione dei risultati della Ricerca 2008 dell’Osservatorio 'New Tv' promosso dalla School of Management del Politecnico di Milano in collaborazione con il Cefriel.

La Ricerca 2008 è basata sull’analisi di più di 2000 canali relativi a tutte le piattaforme digitali (DTT, IpTv, Mobile Tv, Sat Tv, Web Tv) e su oltre 50 casi di studio realizzati mediante interviste dirette a tutte le più significative imprese operanti ai diversi stadi di questa filiera.

La presentazione dei risultati della Ricerca sarà seguita da alcune Tavole Rotonde a cui parteciperanno i principali player del settore.

Il Convegno si terrà mercoledì 19 Novembre 2008, dalle ore 10.00 alle ore 17.00, presso l'Aula Carlo de Carli del Politecnico di Milano, Campus Bovisa, Via Durando 10, Milano."

alt.gallery is pleased to announce the exhibition of MiniFlux by UK artist Hayley Newman.

MiniFlux is a collection of over 1000 props used or referenced in Fluxus musical scores, made into roughly worked miniature plasticine models. These are accompanied by a printed list of all the objects, which range from a full orchestra and an elephant to a tuba and a piano.
