CODE and FORM: C.E.B. Reas & Marius Watz

"CODE and FORM: C.E.B. Reas & Marius Watz, curated by Golan Levin"

In CODE and FORM, Los Angeles-based C.E.B. Reas and Berlin-based Marius Watz explore "generative processes." Using tools borrowed from computer science and software engineering, they write their own computer programs to create their art – whether static prints, interactive systems, or animations. Most recently, they've explored fabrication technologies, such as laser cutters, 3D printers, and computer-controlled machining systems.

Their artists' talk is 5:00pm, Tuesday, February 3 at Carnegie Mellon University. Reas and Watz's talk is part of CMU's School of Art Lecture Series and a mini-symposium on generative form and digital fabrication. For more information: www.lectureseri.es online.
