::: El Proyecto Combi explora la estructura dinámica auto-organizada de la Ciudad de Lima. Es nuestra hipotesis de que sucesivos eventos [informacionales] programados por medios de comunicación locales como Radio Inka y las rutas emergentes, han ido configurando las nuevas areas de la ciudad y que desde allí, desde la dimensión de la información, el conocimiento y la comunicación será posible reprogramar el software ciudad.

How is economic value defined and determined? Does it correspond to an object's intrinsic qualities or is it purely a social construction? Fundamentally, what do we say about our culture and our society - about our selves - through the objects that we have chosen to value? This exhibition centers on the rich cultural history of traditionally valuable materials such as silver, diamonds, gold, etc., as well as the nearly visceral desires that these substances are capable of evoking. The exhibition also focuses on the important immaterial factors that underlie the determination of value: from a given object's emotional or religious significance to aspects of its life on the market, as well as the crucial if silent role played by human labor and the human body.
Objects of Value features works by such artists as Janine Antoni, Yael Bartana, Walead Beshty, Chris Burden, Dario Escobar, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, David Lefkowitz, Jac Leirner, Josiah McElheny, Marilyn Minter, Vik Muniz, Wangechi Mutu, Wilfredo Prieto, Santiago Sierra, Simon Starling, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Tunga and Carey Young. The exhibition combines works from the MAM collection with works on loan from various sources throughout North America and Europe.

SHIFTSPACE workshop / ARTEFACT festival

In collaboration with STUK during the Artefact Festival in Leuven, we propose a one day workshop at iMAL with the authors of ShiftSpace to understand and use this second layer on top of the web where anyone can collaboratively publish notes and comments on any web page. ShiftSpace attempts to follow the open, distributed and uncontrolled nature of Internet by providing a new public space on the web.
The workshop will be given by ShiftSpace core team members: Dan Phiffer, Joe Moore and David Nolen.
The day will be divided in 2 parts:

ShiftSpace propose un espace public ouvert au-dessus du web allant au delà des contenus centralisés et fermés. En collaboration avec le STUK dans le cadre du festival Artefact de Louvain.
