Descent to Revolution features five international artist collectives and collaboratives that use urban spaces and social spheres as means of production and inspiration. During the course of the exhibition, participating artists visit Columbus in a series of residencies to make projects specific to the city. The work does not take place inside the space of the gallery but in concert with community and physical mediums outside of it."

La poetica di Teresa Gillespie è strettamente legata agli spazi in cui interviene o che crea ex-novo nel suo lavoro. L’esperienza del luogo nelle sue opere è sempre esperienza di memoria, di ambienti sospesi, abbandonati o percepiti come in attesa. L'artista crea istallazioni che si offrono come tracce, come frammenti di racconti appena trascorsi o in procinto di accadere. Le opere di Teresa Gillespie sono intermittenze, pieghe della memoria, spazi sospesi come smagliature nell'architettura del quotidiano.
Teresa Gillespie inaugura il programma espositivo di Showreelproject.com dedicato a cinque giovani artisti internazionali per la prima volta presentati in Italia. L’intervento dell’artista sarà visibile dal esterno della vetrina da giovedì 17 a sabato 26 settembre in un’antica bottega di Milano in via Pastrengo tra il civico 13 ed il civico 15. Il 17 settembre in via Pastrengo 12 dalle ore 19.30 sarà possibile incontrare l'artista ed avere ulteriore materiale relativo al suo lavoro. Showreelproject.com è un progetto di Paola Caravati e Alessandro Sarri, nato dal desiderio di presentare la ricerca di giovani artisti europei il cui lavoro è inedito in Italia in un luogo e con modalità espositive inconsuete.
