Sound and Vision

Sound and Vision - seminar om lyd og musik i samtidskunsten

Torsdag 22. oktober 2009, 17.00 - 20.00

The Ishiwata Biennale

The Ishiwata Biennale is an interpersonal/international art festival taking place in The Republic of Ishiwata . Since its foundation, it experiments with various creative communications among artists and even visitors.

Mari Ishiwata, founder of the Ishiwata Biennale, has asked the artists to create works based on the communications that they’ve had with her. She has also asked them to face to who they are ( how they live their daily life, what is the background of their life history etc… ) , as same as what she does in her own creation.

The Ishiwata Biennale 2009 consists of two parts: exhibition and performance shared by twenty individual or collective artists.

Mari Ishiwata / Ayaka Azechi / Paula Fabiana / Susanne Irene Fjørtoft / Andres Galeano / Miyuki Hinton / Miki Isojima / Bartosz Lukasiewicz / Kazuki Nakahara / Pola Pulver / Erika Ramberg / Franzisca Siegrist Schmid / Carlo Spiga / Julischka Stengele / Norio Takasugi / Cary Tijerina / Hana Umeda / Renata Faccenda with CCC / Motel Sisters
