"Nel corso di queste tre settimane, dal 28 novembre al 19 dicembre, very late at night riceverà numerosi ospiti invitati a intervenire e a portare un contributo partendo da una sollecitazione legata a una riflessione sulla specificità di neon e sulla situazione attuale della ricerca, per contestualizzare la vicenda di neon rispetto alle dinamiche delle vicende artistiche nel corso di questi anni. hanno confermato la loro presenza: Renato Barilli, Lorenzo Bruni, Roberto Calari, Roberto Daolio, Silvia Evangelisti, Mauro Felicori, Andrea Lissoni, Marcorea Malià, Pierfrancesco Pacoda, Roberto Pinto; altri ospiti devono ancora dare conferma della loro presenza, vi comunicheremo puntualmente il calendario degli incontri."

What is sacred? What is profane? Two words which suggest dichotomy, could either be one or the other at the same time. Norberto’s works engages with the deliberate placement of found objects, featuring the peculiar use of medicine cabinets, altar boxes, and framed constructions, to question what we hold sacred in contemporary society."

CAI GUO-QIANG - Hanging Out in the Museum
The Taipei Fine Arts Museum is pleased to present a retrospective exhibition for the artist called “indispensable to this world” by The New York Times. Cai Guo-Qiang has left his mark on various cities and countries, from Fujian to Shanghai, from China to Japan, and from New York to the world. His work expresses a kind of metaphysical thinking derived from Eastern philosophy and modern cosmology. Known worldwide for his gunpowder-based works and large-scale installations, Cai became the first Chinese artist to hold a solo exhibition, I Want to Believe, at the Guggenheim Museum, New York in 2008. This retrospective, which traveled to Beijing and Bilbao, demonstrated his achievements and place in contemporary art. Hanging Out in the Museum is the largest retrospective to be organized since. In addition to showing the same large-scale installations, gunpowder drawings, and video documentation of his explosion projects, Cai has specially created three significant new works for this exhibition in Taiwan: Strait, Day and Night and Taroko Gorge. Embodying his unique historical and cosmic view, these works address the problems of existence faced by man in contemporary society through artistic forms and clearly illustrate the process of realizing Cai’s artistic ideas.

Le VidéoK.01 est une "boîte à images" créée à l'occasion d'une commande publique architecturale à des fins de diffusion vidéo dans l'espace public. Implanté dans le mail du centre commercial Leclerc de Pau, le ViéoK.01 est un véritable lieu de découverte ouvert à toutes les recherches en matière d'art vidéo, d'animations, d'images en mouvements et de cinématographie souvent expérimentale.

Dagli affreschi dell’antichità greco-romana attraverso capolavori dell’arte moderna europea fino ai giorni nostri, centinaia di opere provenienti da musei e collezioni private italiani ed esteri, raccontano l’intrigante e spettacolare storia del trompe-l’œil.
Il tema dell’inganno, dell’eterna sfida fra la realtà e la sua simulazione è presentato non solo nell’ambito della pittura, ma nella trasversalità che di fatto ha caratterizzato la sua diffusa fortuna nel percorso dell’arte europea: tarsie lignee che aprono immaginarie finestre su vedute urbane; piani di tavolo che invitano ad afferrare oggetti ingannevolmente prensili; vasellami travestiti in forme animali e vegetali; sculture policrome che con materie di antica tradizione o con le moderne resine “danno vita” a cloni sottilmente inquietanti.
La mostra abbraccia l’intero arco cronologico del trompe-l’œil, riunendo un’antologia di esempi rappresentativi dei suoi diversi aspetti. Pitture parietali d’epoca romana illustrano i motivi dell’antichità classica che per prima ha spinto la “verosimiglianza” fino all’illusionismo. Capolavori di Andrea Mantegna, Tiziano, Paolo Veronese raccontano la rinascita europea del trompe-l’œil dopo la lunga parentesi del Medioevo, che aveva programmaticamente eluso il naturalismo. Tra le molte curiosità del Seicento e Settecento fiammingo, il celebre “Scarabattolo” del Museo dell’Opificio, una fra le meraviglie riconosciute del trompe-l’œil, che ritrae una raccolta del Gran Principe Ferdinando de’ Medici, fatta di “naturalia” e “artificialia” in parte rintracciati ed esposti in mostra, ad alimentare il gioco di specchi fra realtà e finzione.
La mostra presenterà per la prima volta in Italia i pittori realisti dell’Ottocento statunitense. Mentre opere, fra gli altri, di Michelangelo Pistoletto, Vettor Pisani, Carol Feuerman mostrano le diverse declinazioni del tema messe in atto dall’arte del Novecento e contemporanea.
